The D3 Accounting Information System Study Program received a virtual visit from Bengkalis State Polytechnic on Monday, November 30, 2020. This visit was in order to benchmark the curriculum for the D3 Accounting Information System study program. During the virtual visit through Zoom media, Mr. Alfansuri, S.T., M.Sc. as Chairperson of Bengkalis State Polytechnic PDD Management, Bpk Zulkifli, S.Si., M.Si as Deputy Chairperson of Bengkalis State Polytechnic PDD Management, Mrs. Een Erlina, S.AB., M.Ak. as the Chair of the Computer Accounting Study Program and its staff.
“The D3 Information System Curriculum already uses OBE (Outcome Based Education) so that it is aligned with Industry 4.0,” said Dr. Nelsi as Head of D3 Accounting Information System Study Program. “In addition, the strengthening of links and contact with Industry is carried out through the WRAP (Work Ready Program) method in the form of internship, entrepreneurship and researchship”, added Dr. Nelsi.
On this occasion Dr. Nelsi also said that the D3 Information System Study Program of the Faculty of Applied Sciences is one of the Accounting Information Systems study programs which received accreditation A from 139 D3 Accounting Information System Study Programs throughout Indonesia. In addition, he added that in Research and Publication, lecturers in the Telkom University Accounting Information System D3 study program were very good, because they were ranked 3 (three) in the National Sinta Ristek Dikti.
To accommodate Merdeka Learning, the Study Program already has a recognition of student activity into credit courses such as competitions, startups, PkM and so on.
Besides that Dr. Nelsi also told about the Graduate Profile, Curriculum Preparation Process, Determination of SKS, D3SIA Mataluliah Structure, Learning Monitoring Process in Prodi, Certification and Final Project. It is hoped that this kind of sharing can be an input for the Bengkalis State Polytechnic, especially the D3 Accounting Information System Study Program to assist in curriculum preparation and industrial management.
Hopefully in the future Bengkalis State Polytechnic and the Faculty of Applied Sciences can establish better cooperation.
